The annual Aalsmeer Parade is one of the world's most spectacular floral displays. A parade of floats 2.5 kilometres long, filled with flowers, will travel from the flower auction at Aalsmeer to the centre of Amsterdam; bands play and costumed participants dance and perform plays. Half a million flowers create a floral sea carried on 20 enormous floats and 30 richly decorated cars, illustrating the latest trends in both car design and flower arrangement. The floats and cars will pass through Amstelveen before reaching the historic Dam Square in the centre of Amsterdam. Free admission.
