The Nieuwmarkt is a sizable square in the heart of Amsterdam hosting various markets and has a whole host of cafes and restaurants surrounding it. Here, for a limited time period annually, a special market is held once a week in which you can buy various antique goods. If you are in the city during the period in which the market is held, it is certainly worth a visit.
