Once a week, an organic farmers' market is held on the Noordermarkt, near the Noorderkerk (North Church). This market is just one of a few held on this square. Produce on sale here proves both delicious and healthy. Among the items on offer are organic fruit and vegetables, original home-made curds and various fresh cheeses - delivered straight from the farms. Prices are affordable but not overly cheap.
