This Irish pub doubles as a hostel. If you decide to stay here, you get the added bonus of being able to drink at the visitors' bar that's open a whopping 24 hours a day. You'll find this pub just off the Red Light district. It's quite a large bar that attracts a mostly British crowd. Durty Nellies is one of the most famous Irish pubs in Amsterdam and has a large following. Expect regular live bands, lots of live sports on the TVs that are dotted around the place and a good chance to meet some new people. They serve more than your normal Irish pub grub and the prices are pretty decent. Durty Nellies serves 16 beers and the Guinness is cheaper than at most places.
