Opposite the Scheepvaartmuseum and new Metropolis is the Kadijksplein, one of the oldest parts of Amsterdam. On this square stands Iberia, a unique restaurant serving delicious Spanish and Portuguese cuisine. Specialities include fish, meat and rice dishes. The restaurant spans different levels and a number of dining rooms. Iberia has a lovely cellar with the famous Sherry Bodega as a feature. The walls of the restaurant are covered with plates and pictures of a whole host of Spanish artists. On one of the plates it says Lo mejor de esta casa son los clients, meaning The best thing about this house is its clients.
