Jaap Hannis café-restaurant is situated on an artificial island in one of the many side-canals of the Eastern harbour area. The interior is simple, but attractive and the service is friendly en prfessioneel. The large terraces are visited by passersby in all types of boats next to the more pedestrian folk arriving by car or bike. The establishment owns a number of boats of varying size and organises sailing parties and dinners for 10 to 40 people. The normal Dutch lunch dishes are rolls, soup and tapas, of course. The kitchen is European with meat, fish and vegetarian dishes. Next to this extensive menu there are the day's specialities. The choice in tapas served has recently been enlarged.
