The Kalvertoren is located in the heart of the city, on Amsterdam's most commercial street, the Kalverstraat. However, its address is not actually the Kalverstraat as such, as this shopping centre has multiple entrances. In 1998, the shopping centre tower won the prestigious annual European Shopping Centre Award that is presented by the ICSC, the International Council of Shopping Centres. There are more than thirty exclusive stores here, spread over three floors, for instance Mango, DKNY, Timberland, Hugo Boss, Levi's, Kipling and Replay. The big glass and steel tower has a staircase, an escalator and a glass lift, ferrying customers to the top. There, you will have an amazing view of Amsterdam's inner city. Besides many exclusive shops, it is also home to two department stores, various cafes and a nice restaurant.
