When Hoppe at cocktailhour gets too crowded for the elder and smarter regulars, they take refuge in the Koningshut, where they always meet likeminded people: well-cut suits, quiet ties, twin-sets and pearl chains. The Dutch here is slightly 'better' than elsewhere. To accompany the welldrawn beers, the reasonable wine and a better brand of geneva, there are various snacks are on offer.
