The department store Metz & Co was founded in 1891 and is nowadays the property of Liberty's of London. Located in the busy shopping street the Leidsestraat, Metz & Co offers a broad range of goods. It is a great place to go if you are looking for high quality or unique gifts. You can buy gimmicks, beautiful glassware, exclusive clothing and various pots, pans and kitchen utensils here. The latter you can find in the basement. If you decide to pop in, be sure to visit the upper floor. The view from this top floor is magnificent - customers can enjoy a great view of the canals, roofs and gardens of the inner city buildings and can see quite a long way into the distance, especially on a clear day. A pleasant complement to such a view might be a cappuccino and/or a light meal.
